TechLabs is a learning accelerator for technology skills. As a non-profit organization, we dream of a world full of digital shapers. With a pioneering new design of a learning journey, we create a new community of tech-savvy individuals who approach the problems of our time with a digital mindset.
In 2017 TechLabs started in Münster with a clear idea of the impact it wanted to create in the world. As we've moved forward, we've come to the point at which we wanted to work with more diverse and creative communities.
Berlin is the perfect answer for this.
The combination of Berlin's rich startup eco-system, its colorful inhabitants and an engaged local management team, solidifies our presence and motivation to be in Berlin.

Each semester, TechLabs provides a great learning experience for our Techies. Managing the learning journey of about 100 individuals who learn at their own pace is a huge challenge not only for our management team in Berlin, but for the volunteers at every of our 10 TechLabs locations.
This is why we want to support both our management team and Techies with state-of-the-art technology. We want to integrate e-learning systems with productivity tools to be able to support to provide every participant with the support they need in an individualized way.

The Techie Relationship Management (TRM) project enables TechLabs to get to know their participants better. We want to monitor our Techies' learning progress throughout their semester at TechLabs and engage with them more personally. The TRM is an (internally) open data platform for all information on participants. We source our data through API integrations with existing tools we use: Typeform, Slack & edyoucated. The platform provides a shared GraphQL API which exposes this data to a dashboard which the management team members use to get insights how the Techies are doing.
We are in the progress of implementing this platform with technologies such as Google Cloud, Hasura, and react-admin. We need help for building additional integrations, and for extending the frontend with awesome data visualizations. Moreover, we need to implement it in even more TechLabs locations and help the volunteers there to make the best use of it.
