Disclaimer: we're a diverse team and open to local as well as international applicants. So we wrote this one in English. Yet, good German skills are definitely a big plus, as most of our internal communication is (still) in German.
So, what will you do at TechLabs as Part of the HR Team?
Help to recruit, build, and retain one of the most dedicated nonprofit teams across Europe. Rethink the status quo of HR in Nonprofits and build an overwhelming journey for the TechLabs management team in Dortmund.
- Recruit high-quality talent for our team in Dortmund. We can help with an extensive network. Now it's your turn to attract the best students and young professionals to work with us on our mission.
- Design the onboarding experience for new team members so that they identify with our mission from day one.
- Build one of the strongest alumni networks in the field of digital education. Most of our former team members go on to start working at the most reputable organizations in the world and in a huge variety of industries (startups, strategy consulting, politics, creative, etc.). That's a huge asset. How would you use it?
Mid-term, we're looking for someone who would ideally be open to possibly grow the HR team and act as a team lead. Though this is optional and totally up to you ☺️
You might be a good fit if...
- You care about people and have sharp intuition for how people are attracted, motivated, and inspired in a nonprofit environment.
- You are basically an "experience designer" in the HR field. You don't rely on the status quo of (almost non-existent) HR in traditional nonprofits. You want to rethink it and build a whole new experience on your own.
- You have strong beliefs, but don't hold onto them with white knuckles. You're a good listener who likes to collaborate.
- You are looking for a culture where work is appreciated and you can make an immediate impact.
- You would like to rethink digital education together with an ambitious team of volunteers. You know it's a hard problem to solve. But you also know that once solved, teaching people and watching them understand the world a little bit better is one of the most rewarding experiences in your life.
- We highly value our team spirit. For that reason, it's important to us that you plan to volunteer at TechLabs for more than 6 months and appreciate if you live somewhat close to Dortmund to join us for a social event sometimes.
- As a bonus, you have worked on challenging projects and ambitious (nonprofit) visions before. You have failed a couple of times and you have an idea of why you did so. You're eager to experiment, to fail, and to succeed together with us more often than you ever did before.
