๐ What Youโll Do
As the HR Manager, youโll own the end-to-end process of recruiting, onboarding, and supporting volunteers to ensure the success of our programs and initiatives.
Hereโs how youโll make an impact:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Recruit New Volunteers:
- Create and update job postings for roles across the Journey, Operations, and Board teams.
- Screen applications, communicate with candidates, and schedule and conduct interviews.
- Maintain an up-to-date applicant database and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Onboarding Process:
- Prepare individual onboarding pages and essential documents.
- Facilitate connections between volunteers and their respective teams.
- Schedule and support initial team meetings.
Internal Processes
- HR Management:
- Own and maintain HR pages with accurate workflow and volunteer data.
- Monitor volunteer engagement and retention metrics.
- Drive the development and improvement of internal HR practices.
Volunteer Experience
- Build Community:
- Develop criteria and metrics to foster an engaged and productive volunteer community.
- Focus on retaining experienced volunteers while encouraging a healthy influx of new talent.
- Support culture-building initiatives that make TechLabs a rewarding place to contribute.
- Strategic Contribution:
- Represent HR in management meetings and working groups to contribute to semester planning, volunteer resource allocation, and culture development.
